ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING HELD 9th September 2011

The 2011 Annual General Meeting was held at the CFA's Huntly training grounds near Bendigo.

  • Several "live" burns of caravans were carried out and the day focused on caravans and problems associetd with electrical and gas fires. The day was sponsored by ESV and there were a number of experts in both electrical and gas fires in transportable homes as well as new developments and safety features.
  • there were two speakers on clandestine laboratories and the inherant safety risks associated with attending fires in these dangerous environments.
  • Committee positions that were up for re-election with the results listed below
  • The AGM was well attanded with around 97 members and guests enjoying a very informative day.
  • The Committee would like to extend their thanks to the management and staff of the CFA and in particular those at Huntly for their support and excellent organisation of logistcs for the day. Northern District Field Training Ground

MEETING DATES FOR 2011

The Regular General Meetings of the Victorian Association of Fire Investigators will normally be held at the Metropolitan Fire Brigade, 450 Burnley Street, Richmond commencing at 1800 hours.

Any changes to the venue or meeting time will be advised.
